2. Implementation

Hours multiplied by a rate. Ours is published so you can do the arithmetic.

• Finance and sales, small company: 40–60 hours.
• Full operation with stock: 100–160 hours.
• Manufacturing with real costing: +60–120 hours.
• Each integration: 12–40 hours.

3. Support after go-live

Fifteen to twenty per cent of implementation cost per year.

4. Your team's time

One to two days a week from three or four key people.

5. Data cleanup

Either your team does it, or you pay consultant hours for it.

Before comparing totals, compare the assumption lists.

How to read any ERP quotation

• Ask what happens when the estimate is exceeded.
• Ask which integrations are included by name.
• Ask whether migration covers opening balances.
• Ask who owns the custom code — in the contract.
• Ask the support price before signing, not after.
